To provide a vibration-proof pipe jacking method and a hook hitching tool for a thrust transmitting device used for the method, capable of being applied to the pipe jacking method by either or both of pushing in/pulling in the pipe.
When pipe end portions of a leading pipe 23A and a subsequent pipe 23C are connected by the thrust transmitting device provided with thrust transmitting bands 3, 5, a thrust transmitting stay, and a breaking member, the thrust transmitting bands 3, 5 are fixed at the pipe end portions respectively, then a tightening tool 35 is attached between the thrust transmitting bands 3, 5 to be tightened, the leading pipe 23A and the subsequent pipe 23C are jointed so that the joint portion may be expanded/contracted, and the joint between the thrust transmitting bands 3, 5 is jointed by the thrust transmitting stay. When the stay is being inserted in a sheath pipe of a newly constructed pipe, the thrust is transmitted to an adjacent pipe through the thrust transmitting stay. Breaking the breaking member enables the expansion/contraction of the joint portion when an expansion/contraction force exceeding a breaking strength of the breaking member works on the joint portion after the laying of the newly constructed pipe completes.
