PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of the vibration proofing device of a mower, to reduce the weight of the entire mower, and to facilitate attachment/ detachment of a pipe covering a transmission shaft, to and from the engine side.
CONSTITUTION: In a mower provided with an engine 1, a transmission shaft 7 for transmitting the power from the engine 1 to a mowing blade, and with a hollow pipe 200 covering the transmission shaft 7, a holder part 19, in which the one end side of the pipe 20 is inserted, is provided on the engine 1 side. A vibration proofing member 21 is mounted on one part of the one end side outer peripheral part of the pipe 20 while a fitting recessed part 22, in which the vibration proofing member 21 is fitted, is formed on the lower part of the inner circumferential part of the holder part 19. Also, a grade clearance 34 is provided between the inner circumferential surface of the holder part 19 and the one end side outer peripheral surface of the pipe 20 inserted into the holder part 19 in such a way that the clearance becomes narrower as it goes to the deep end of the holder part 19, and that the outer peripheral surface of the inserting side front end part of the pipe 20 is almost connected to the inner circumferential surface of the holder part 19.
