Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide natural images whose contents are easily confirmable even when video data compression-encoded by using a relatively large macroblock such as 16×16 picture elements and recorded on a video tape are reproduced at a high speed.
SOLUTION: A compression encoding system 12 compression-encodes non- compressed video data and generates compressed video data by a GOP(video data block) unit. A write address control circuit 142 performs a shuffling processing so as to record the macroblocks adjacent on images at adjacent positions on a VTR tape 2 as well. An external code encoder 146 generates external codes and adds them to audio/video data. A SYNC/ID adding circuit 152 performs interleaving so as to include the macroblocks adjacent on the images in different ECC(error correction data) blocks, acids synchronization data SYNC and a track ID, replaces helical tracks for performing recording for respective GOPs and performs recording on the VTR tape 2.
