To actualize a video game capable wherein a player can direct multiple characters without taking time and labor for designation of an action of a character so as to advance the game, and the player can easily put his (her) feelings into the game.
A player character which acts according to an operation by a player, two or more instructed characters which act according to a task instructed from the player character, and enemy characters different from the other characters exist in a game space. The player selects the action of the player character so as to advance the game. As the choice, the task such as a battle against the enemy character is instructed. When the task is instructed, the instructed character to act with respect to the task is set, so as to automatically perform processing such as the battle according to the task in response to the parameter of the instructed character. The result of the action of the instructed character with respect to the task is displayed to the player as information which is useful to select the next action of the player character.
