PURPOSE: To provide the video image display device in which display content of a slave screen is easily viewed and the practicality for slave screen display is improved.
CONSTITUTION: First and second video signals for a master screen and a slave screen are generated, the 2nd video signal is compressed in horizontal and vertical directions by a slave screen display circuit 17 to generate the slave screen signal, and the slave screen signal is synthesized with a master screen signal by using a switch circuit 182 and a luminance signal of the slave screen signal or a luminance signal of the master screen signal is selected by using a changeover circuit 25 and given to a telop moving circuit 19, which reads a luminance signal for a prescribed range (e.g. telop part) a slave screen to provide an output of a telop signal and the telop signal is synthesized on the master slave synthesis signal by using a switch circuit 183. Thus, the telop part of the slave screen is moved to an optional position of the master screen and displayed with magnification.
