To solve the problem of the conventional pedometers in which: the number of steps or the distance can be grasped in a cumulative total, but there is nothing to show how many steps or how many kilometers yet to be walked on a preset walking route; and websites interlocked with pedometers allow detailed analysis of the health management aspect, but no system has as yet been architected to display actual moving or still pictures and help promote the sales of specialties of relevant localities regarding tourist spots along a walking route preset on a pedometer.

A virtual reality pedometer in which route information on walking routes and sightseeing routes is accumulated, local information on specialty products, tourist spots and the like according to a given route length is accumulated, step lengths are also accumulated, the number of steps is counted along with walking, the distance is calculated from the product of multiplication by the step length and collated with the walking route or the sightseeing route, and the relevant local information is displayed.
