Abstract:
To provide a virus detection method that eliminates need for management of a BSL in a test room, enables measurement of viruses even in a general environmental test room, and easily increases the number of samples to be measured.SOLUTION: A virus detection method is performed by a virus detection device and includes: an inactivation step of inactivating viruses contained in sampled environmental water; a storage step in which a storage unit stores the virus inactivated by the inactivation step or a genetic material extracted from the virus by the inactivation step; a concentration step in which a concentration unit concentrates the virus or the genetic material stored in the storage step; and a detection step in which a detection unit detects a predetermined virus by qualitatively or quantitatively determining the virus or the genetic material concentrated by the concentration step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
