Abstract:

To suitably satisfy the demand characteristics of a damper device for a building and civil engineering structure through specification in terms of physical properties forming an industrially useful index and more concrete specification in terms of a material of polyurethane.

This viscoelastic damping device provides displacement damping characteristics between rigid bodies 1 and 1 by a viscoelastic material 2 interposed between the rigid bodies 1 and 1. In this case, in a dynamic viscoelastic test having a frequency of 1.0 Hz and amplitude of 20% the viscoelastic material 2 is a resin composition consisting mainly of polyurethane and the resin composition having heq at 20°C being 0.2 or more, keq (S/D) at 20°C being 1.0 kgf/cm2 or more, a ratio of heq at 0°C and 40°C being 1.7 or less, a ratio of the keq at 0°C and 40°C being 100 or less, and a break limit strain at shearing deformation of the resin composition being 150% or more.
