Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that is useful for micro total analysis or the like, and can arbitrarily control the viscosity in a liquid solvent at a fluid region where viscosity is dominant.
SOLUTION: A ferromagnetic fine particle is dispersed into a liquid solvent that circulates through a micro channel, and a magnetic field is applied, thus changing the apparent viscosity of the liquid solvent and controlling viscosity.
