Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technical measure of suppressing formation of bubble defects in vitreous-enamel cast iron.SOLUTION: Vitreous-enamel cast iron is glazed flaky graphite cast iron. The flaky graphite cast iron contains 2.2-4.2 mass% of carbon(C) and 1.5-4.2 mass% of silicon(S), and its central part is based on the D-type graphite structure and has a matrix structure of ferrite or ferrite/pearlite. The glazed surface part is a graphite-free layer or a fine graphite opening layer.
