PURPOSE: To provide a vocalizing toy which vocalizes an arbitrary voice when the initial increment of irradiation quantity of an ultraviolet ray is sensed after the prescribed quantity of ultraviolet rays are cut off.

CONSTITUTION: This toy is provided with a recording IC23 capable of recording and vocalizing the voice by a microphone 22 disposed in the vocalizing toy, a loudspeaker 24 to vocalize the voice recorded on the recording IC23, an ultraviolet sensor 21 which detects the ultraviolet ray, and a control chip 25 which issues a command to vocalize the voice recorded on the recording IC23 by the loudspeaker 24 by receiving the signal of the ultraviolet sensor 21 when detecting the initial increment of irradiation quantity of the ultraviolet ray after the prescribed quantity of ultraviolet rays are cut off. Since the voice recorded on the recording IC is vocalized when the initial increment of irradiation quantity of the ultraviolet ray is sensed after the prescribed quantity of ultraviolet rays are cut off, it is possible to hear the comfortable speech of family or a lover, etc., when a person living apart from the family or an unmarried person comes home, which enables comfort to be obtained.
