PURPOSE: To easily grasp voice and to improve the ease of use of the device operated in a voice interactive manner by producing not only response voice but also guidance voice which guides the input voice to be uttered in response to the response voice.
CONSTITUTION: A speech recognition device 44 applies speech recognition processing to the voice signals issued from a microphone 43 to output the results of the processing to a system control section 15. A speech synthesis device 52 conducts required voice synthesis based on the text data supplied from a system control section 11. The synthesized speech outputted from the speech synthesis device 52 is supplied to a speaker 54 through an amplifier 3 to be outputted. The device 52 further utters the guidance voice which guides the input voice to be uttered in response to the response voice. Consequently the user can easily recognize the voice to be uttered (input voice) and thereby improve the operability of the device.
