To provide a voltage control circuit, that can reduce current consumption by generating a control signal, when a voltage outputted from a charge pump reaches a desired voltage and to use the control signal for increasing the operating period of the charge pump.
The voltage control circuit of this invention is characterized in that the program voltage control circuit employing a flash EEPROM consists of the charge pump to generate a voltage on the basis of a received clock signal, an oscillation section that decides a period of the clock signal received by the charge pump, and an adjustment section that senses a voltage outputted from the charge pump and outputs an adjustment signal by which the oscillation section can vary the period of the clock signal received by the charge pump, when the voltage reaches a prescribed voltage.
