PURPOSE: To obtain a voltage detecting device whose container can be manufactured easily, by using an absorbent case as a voltage detection use intermediate electrode.

CONSTITUTION: To a container blind patch 4a, a metallic absorbent case 7 is attached so as to be opposed to a main circuit apparatus 8. At the time of attaching said case, a washer 14 and an insulating washer 10 are inserted between the blind patch 4a and a bolt 9, and both of them are set to an electrically insulating state. Also, a part between the case 7 and the blind patch 4a is also insulated electrically by an insulating washer 13. On the other hand, a part between the case 7 and the bolt 9 is in an electrically conducting state through a washer 11 and a nut 12, therefore, between the apparatus 8 and the case 7, and between the case 7 and the blind patch 4a, a voltage which is divided from capacitances C1, C2 is generated. This voltage is fetched to the outside by using the bolt 9 as a terminal and the voltage detection is executed. In such a way, by using the absorbent case as a voltage detection use intermediate electrode, a container can be manufactured easily, and also, the container can be miniaturized.
