To improve the operability in the insertion and taking out of paper moneys in a wall-embedded ATM.
The wall-embedded ATM installed on the back faces of external walls WL and WU is composed of a host device consisting of a control unit 100 and a touch panel 11 and a paper money handling device. The paper money handling device is composed of an upper unit 300 having a money receiving/paying port, a cash box 500, a connecting unit 400 and a control unit 200. A conveyance path capable of conveying paper moneys back and forth is configured in the connecting unit 400, so that the upper unit 300 can be set so as to be extended forward from the frontmost face of the cash box 500. Thus, it is possible to set the money receiving/paying port to be nearer to a user UR, thereby improving the operability.
