The washing brush 1 for the car washing machine has a brush part 2 and a shaft body 3. The brush part 2 is formed on an outer circumferential part of the shaft body 3, and has a brush piece 4 abutted on a surface to be washed, and a fixing means 5 for fixing the bush piece 4 to the shaft body 3. The brush piece 4 has a cloth 6 having a recessed part 8 and/or a projecting part 9 at least on one side, and a synthetic resin foamed body 7. The cloth 6 is joined with at least one side of the synthetic resin foam body 7, and the recessed part 8 and/or the projecting part 9 formed in the cloth 6 is abutted on the surface to be washed.
