To provide a washing and drying machine which permits cost reduction.

The washing and drying machine 1 includes a water tank 2 having an opening portion 2a in axial one side, a door 41 to open and close the opening portion 2a, a rotary drum 3 rotatably arranged in the water tank 2, a warm air duct 40 to supply warm air to the rotary drum 3, and a lint filter 22 detachably provided at the warm air duct 40 and catching lints, and the opening and closing of the door 41 and the attachment and detachment of the lint filter 22 are sensed by a door sensing switch made of a magnet 30 provided in the lint filter 22 arranged along the periphery of the opening portion 2a and a reed switch 31 provided on the rear face of the door 41.
