Abstract:
To impart antimicrobial and mildewproofing properties to the stainless steel itself which is used for a washing tank by utilizing a photocatalyst effect of ZnO.
This washing tank 2 is constituted by using the ferritic stainless steel contg. 16.0 to 20.0% Cr and 0.4 to 2.0% Cu and/or 0.4 to 3.0% Mo at need as a base material, applying a galvanizing layer on the outer flank facing a water tank 1 and forming a ZnO layer on the front layer of this galvanizing layer. A method of mounting a light transparent cap 3 at a washing machine or arranging a photoirradiation light source 4 between the water tank 1 and the washing tank 2, etc., is adopted in order to enhance the photocatalyst effect of the ZnO.
