To provide a washing machine simplified in structure with which cost reduction can be attained and further detection accuracy is improved as well by using one temp. detecting means such as a thermister in common as a thermistor for detecting the winding wire temperature of a motor for load amount discrimination and also as a thermistor for detecting the temperature of a power element itself for securing safety.
This motor for rotating a washing-spinning tub or stirring blades is installed on a bottom part in an outer casing and a control unit arranged with a substrate 3 equipped with a power element 2 for controlling the motor or the like is arranged at an upper part in the outer casing. Concerning such a washing machine, the temperature detecting means such as a thermistor 1 for detecting the winding wire temperature of the motor and power element temperature is provided near the power element 2 for controlling the motor.
