A suction port 3 and a discharge port 6 are formed in a waste treatment container 2 for treating raw refuse and an ozone deodorization apparatus 8 is installed in a waste gas flow route 5 connected to the discharge port 6. The ozone deodorization apparatus 8 comprises an ultraviolet lamp 16 installed in the waste gas flow route for radiating ultraviolet rays producing ozone 19 having deodorization and disinfection functions and radiating ultraviolet rays having disinfection function to decompose malodorous components 20 by ozone. A catalyst means 17 for decomposing or detoxicating excess ozone is installed on the downstream side of the ultraviolet lamp.
