Abstract:
To effectively and easily attain reduction of chromaticity and/or chemical oxygen demand in waste water.
In a waste water treating method for reducing chromaticity and/or chemical oxygen demand in the waste water 2, the waste water 2 and an oxidizing agent 4 are mixed to obtain mixed water 32, 33. The mixed water 32, 33 is successively brought into contact with a carbon material 6 having active points and metal peroxide 8 under normal temperature and pressure to carry out multi-stage oxidation of oxidizable materials in the waste water 2 by the oxidizing agent 4.
