PURPOSE: To obtain the cleaning cloth which is inexpensive, is adaptable to throw-away use as well and has excellent water absorptivity and cleanability by providing ≥1 continuous straight grooves on the surface of fiber single yarn and forming these grooves into the structure connecting to the continuous straight cavity in the yarn.
CONSTITUTION: This cloth is produced by using the yarn having the structure in which the surface of the fiber single yarn has the ≥1 continuous straight grooves B and these grooves are connected to the continuous straight cavity in the yarn. A water- or chemical liquid-insoluble blank material is used for the sheath part A and a water- or chemical liquid-soluble blank material is used for the continuous straight grooves on the fiber surface and the cavity in the yarn. The yarn is obtd. by ordinary core and sheath composite spinning and thereafter, the dissolved parts are removed by using water or chemical liquid, by which the above-mentioned cloth is obtd.
