Abstract:

To provide a continuous casting mold capable of effectively cooling a copper plate near a meniscus position by providing a cooling groove diaphragm plate for reducing the cross-sectional area of a copper plate cooling groove and increasing the flow rate of cooling water.

The cooling groove diaphragm plate for reducing the cross-sectional area of the copper plate cooling groove and increasing the flow velocity of the cooling water is provided over the range in a vertical direction including a molten metal meniscus position in the mold so that its upper end position is set in the middle in the height direction of a position facing the exhaust port of the cooling water in the copper plate cooling groove and its lower end position is set in the middle in the height direction of the cooling groove.
