Title:
WATER-COOLED RESISTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3831572
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fracture of the bent sections having small radii of curvature of the resistance body of a water-cooled resistor due to repetitive heat generation caused by electric currents which are concentrated to the insides of the sections and locally generate high-temperature heat.
SOLUTION: This water-cooled resistor is constituted by arranging the resistance body 21 which is constituted of a metallic thin sheet and has a meandering section having a plurality of curved sections 21c between terminals between heat sinks having refrigerant flowing passages so that the resistance body 21 may be cooled by a refrigerant flowing inside the heat sinks. The curved sections 21c of the resistance body 21 are formed to have prescribed radii of curvature.
