Title:
WATER-DISINTEGRABLE NONWOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05179548
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the disintegration dispersibility without impairing the mechanical strength in a nonwoven fabric disintegrating and dispersing by throwing the nonwoven fabric into water.

CONSTITUTION: The objective water-disintegrable nonwoven fabric is characterized by constructing a fiber layer from mutually interlaced fiber having ≤15mm length and regulating the content of a salt-sensitive binder to 0.5-10wt.% in a water-disintegrable nonwoven fabric composed of water-dispersible fiber, consisting essentially of an unsaturated carboxylic acid/unsaturated carboxylic acid ester copolymer in which the unsaturated carboxylic acid component is partially formed into a neutral salt and bonded with a water-soluble binder.
