Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a water-dispersible resin composition useful as an undercoating compound for precoating a steel plate, having excellent adhesiveness to galvanized sheet iron during folding processing and excellent compatibility with pigment, processability corrosion resistance, etc., by using a specific compound resin composition.
CONSTITUTION: A compound resin composition comprising (A) an aromatic epoxy resin, (B) an epoxy-acrylic resin composed of an aromatic epoxy unsaturated carboxylic acid ester, prepared by previously adding an unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer (preferably monobasic monomer such as acrylic acid) to one end of the component A, as an essential monomer unit and (C) an acrylic resin containing an unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer unit is dispersed in the presence of ammonia or an amine into an aqueous medium to give the objective composition. The component A, for example, is obtained by condensing bisphenol A with epichlorohydrin in the presence of an alkali catalyst into high-molecular weight.
