Abstract:
To provide a water flow switch which is capable of sufficiently draining water which is stored in a flapper housing chamber at a level from a lower edge of a water conduction hole to a lower end of a partition wall, in drainage, prevents occurrence of an operational abnormality in the case of water re-conduction, and keeps detection sensitivity high.SOLUTION: A water conduction hole 11 and a water drain hole 12 communicating with a downstream-side water conduction path are opened to a partition wall 10 of a boundary portion between a flapper housing chamber 24 and a downstream-side water conduction path 23a. In a use state of a water flow switch 1 where water horizontally flows in, regarding the water conduction hole, a lower edge 11a exists at a height equal to or higher than a lowest level of a rotation track 64a of a movable end 64 of a flapper 6, and an upper edge 11b exists above a height of the movable end turned at a predetermined angle where the flapper is turned on by detecting the presence of a water flow by a detection switch 8. Regarding the water drain hole, a lower edge 12a exists below a lowest level of the rotation track of the flapper, at a lower portion of the flapper housing chamber closer to the downstream-side water conduction path, and a cross-sectional area of the water drain hole orthogonal to a hole shaft 12b is smaller than a cross-sectional area of the water conduction hole orthogonal to a hole shaft 11c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
