Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unsteady operations in low speed cruise and cavitations in high speed cruise of a water jet propulsion device controlling a jet port open radio suitably for a cruising speed by switching a cross section area of an outlet casing jet port.
SOLUTION: A lower part nozzle 15 with a U-shaped inner periphery surface is connected at an tail end of an outlet casing 7 and a semicircular upper part nozzle 16 is inserted in the lower part nozzle 15 to form a cylindrical jet nozzle. A jet water amount emitted from the outlet casing 7 is changed by sliding the upper part nozzle 16 up and down to adjust an open area of a jet port 18 of the jet nozzle. A means of adjusting an open ratio of the jet nozzle inlines the inner periphery surface of the upper part nozzle 16, opens and tapers the jet nozzle composed of the lower part nozzle 15 and the upper part nozzle 16 toward an outlet side and connects the upper part nozzle 16 to an operation lever.
