Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the freedom of body design and to satisfy the function of a breather pipe while maintaining the capacity of a fuel tank.
SOLUTION: A fuel tank device 20 for a vehicle fills fuel filled from a fuel filler hole 21, into a fuel tank 6 through a filler pipe 22, and releases air in the fuel tank 6 to the vicinity of the fuel filler hole 21 through a breather pipe 23. A float valve 30 for closing a breather passage 43 when the liquid level in the fuel tank rises to the specified level is fitted to the fuel tank. A chamber 41 with a capacity of storing a specified quantity of fuel is fitted to the float valve 30, and an inlet 24 of the breather pipe is connected to the chamber 41.
