Title:
WATER PURIFICATION APPARATUS HAVING FUNCTION FOR REMOVING ALUMINUM REMAINING IN TAP WATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10146584
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To remove effectively an aluminum ion by catching selectively that by a method wherein a water current is made to permeate a capture filtration layer with a chelate resin being one kind of ion exchange resin having preferential capture force to an aluminum ion by having selectivity for a metallic ion.

A cartridge 4 disposed inside a purification apparatus body 2 is composed of a filter and absorptive layer part as an upside part and an aluminum ion capture filter part as a lower part, and both parts are attached, detached and fixed with a screw part 9. A water current 1 permeates an absorption layer 7 of an activated carbon material from a filtration layer 6 of an antimicrobial filter material or the like. After removing chlorine, chlorine odor, and chlorine compounds, the water current 1 permeates a capture filter layer 10 with a chelate resin. Herein, an aluminum ion is selectively captured and removed. That is, metallic ion capture characteristics of the iminodiacetic acid type chelate resin to be used make useful ions of calcium or the like pass, and make the aluminum ion wanted to be removed capable of being preferentially captured.
