Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier by which water to be treated can be sufficiently purified by microorganisms to discharge it from a treating part irrespective of conditions of the microorganisms and a clogging state of the treating part. SOLUTION: A pump 31 for producing a water flow so that water to be treated is passed through a treating part 29 for purifying treatment can be switched back and forth between a high flow velocity state in which the passing flow velocity of the water to be treated through the treating part 29 becomes high and a low flow velocity state in which the passing flow velocity of the water to be treated through the treating part 29 becomes zero or low. By providing a control means for switching back and forth the pump 37 between the high flow velocity state and the low flow velocity state, the pump 31 is made in the low flow velocity state, i.e., in the state in which microorganisms easily function to sufficiently perform purifying treatment by microorganisms, and after that, the pump 37 is made in the high flow velocity state to immediately discharge the water to be treated subjected to discharge purifying treatment to outside the treating part 29 and introduce new water to be treated into the treating part 29.
