To provide a water rescue support unit and a water rescue support system that support finding of a rescuer more quickly and accurately in an event of a drowning accident, etc.SOLUTION: A water rescue support unit 1 comprises: a light emitting section 31 that emits light; a water battery detection sensor 20 for detecting water using a signal generated from a water battery 21 by receiving the water from a predetermined opening as a water detection signal; a position detection section 50 for detecting current position information; a unit communication section 60 for wireless communication with an external device; and a unit control section 40 that transmits the position information detected by the position detection section 50 to the external device 80 via the unit communication section 60 at least when the water is detected by the water battery detection sensor 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
