Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water treatment equipment that uses filter sand which can detect conditions of filtration process and backwash process appropriately to enable more efficient, short-time, secure and stable filtering.SOLUTION: Water treatment equipment comprises a cylindrically-shaped filtration tank 10 that stores and stacks filter sand 11 inside for removing contaminated water, is configured to purify the contaminated filter sand during a backwash process implemented when absorption performance of the filter sand 11 drops, and includes a backwash water supply tank 20 that is to store backwash water, and to be disposed at a position higher than the filtration tank 10 so as to supply the backwash water into the filtration tank 10 from a bottom portion of the filtration tank 10 with static pressure in the backwash process and a monitoring sight glass 30 disposed on a side wall 12 of the filtration tank 10, which comprises enough vertical length to enable observation of both of a lower position 16 where the filter sand 11 is accumulated in a filtration process and an upper position 17 where the filter sand 11 is floated by a stream of the backwash water in the backwash process.
