Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method which enables formaldehyde to be efficiently removed from water containing the formaldehyde by efficiently reacting the formaldehyde with bisulfite ions.SOLUTION: A water treatment method for removing formaldehyde from water W1 to be treated containing formaldehyde is provided that comprises: an ion exchange resin contact step ST2 of bringing the water W1 to be treated into contact with a strong basic anion exchange resin which has been caused to adsorb bisulfite ions to react the formaldehyde and the bisulfite ions, and removing the formaldehyde from the water W1 to be treated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
