Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain satisfactory sound quality and to eliminate impairment to a speaker caused by water or dust particles by preparing a pressure control chamber made of a soft material which internally communicates to a speaker chamber whose diaphragm partly forms a wall surface via an aperture, externally in contact with the atmosphere and varies its capacity according to the difference between the inside pressure and the outside pressure.
SOLUTION: The diaphragms 2a and 3a are attached to and exposed over the front wall of a case 1, and a bottomed cylinder 5 which is fixed airtight at the fringe of a vent hole 4 via its open end and forms the crust of a pressure control chamber is horizontally projected inside the case 1. An orifice 6 is prepared at the center of a bottom plate 5a of the cylinder 5 as an aperture, and a soft rubber tube 7 which is thinner than the edges 2b and 3b of diaphragms 2a and 3a extending inside the cylinder 5 is placed around the rear side of the orifice 6 to fix airtight the opening. The diameter of the orifice 6 is set a small size so as not to transmit the dynamic pressure variance and to transmit the static pressure variance of a speaker chamber 8 into the tube 7 respectively.
