Title:
WAX-REMOVING MAT FOR SPORTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02161927
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remove almost all dirt and wax attached to the sole of sports shoes by having a non-movable adhesive surface capable of virtually removing all the dirt and wax on the sole of the sports shoes on the top surface of the mat having indented bottom surface. CONSTITUTION: A board 12 is made of a hard, heavy material such as 1/4-inch- thick waterproof particle board. The peel strength of a layer 24, which adheres a rear sheet to the base, is in the approximate range of from 25 to 50oz/in. A protective cover sheet is removed from a rear sheet 22, and a layer 24 of an adhesive material is glued to the top surface 46 of the base 12. The mat supports the feet of a player wearing shoes 41 and 43 on an adhesive layer 21 of upper sheets 14. As a result, on two areas of the mat, layers 47 and 49, which separate the dirt and wax from the sole of the shoes 41 and 43, are selectively enclosed, and are removed from the sole 37 and 39 of the player's shoes 41 and 43. By standing momentarily on the mat 10, a player can remove almost all dirt and wax accumulated on the shoes.
