Abstract:
PURPOSE: To well mold an originally scheduled shape without generating undulated deformation even in a long lip part having a relatively large width dimension.
CONSTITUTION: When a weather strip material 1' is produced, a shape holding member 5 composed of a hard no-foam material is provided to the leading end of a lip part 4 and, even if the lip part 4 is ready to foam, expand and deform in a vulcanization process after extrusion, the lip part 4 is strongly held to an original shape by the shape holding member 5. Finally, the shape holding member 5 is removed to obtain a weather strip 1 having a final shape.
