Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively cut even a web large in weighed amount, reduce the scatter of paper pieces and wind the web smoothly around a reel spool by providing pressure regulating mechanism for supplying pressure corresponding to the weighed amount of the web, between air jet pipes and an air supply source.
SOLUTION: A controller C outputs a command signal, corresponding to the weighed amount of a web W in the course of being wound, to an electropneumatic converter 34. The secondary side of a pressure reducing valve 33 is set each time to air pressure corresponding to the weighed amount of the web W to be cut, and air with pressure suitable for the weighed amount is jetted from air jet pipes 21, 22. The web W can therefore be cut positively without applying excessively large force. In addition, scattered paper pieces can be reduced, and since the cut end shape of the web W is in good order, the web W can be smoothly wound around a reel spool.
