Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment that conducts an AM broadcast, AM stereo broadcast, and AM data multiplex broadcast and then receives them.
SOLUTION: In the case of transmitting a stereo signal modulation output, a changeover circuit 16 selects an output from an AM stereo modulator 13, and in the case of transmitting an AM data multiplex modulation output, the changeover circuit 16 selects an output from an AM data multiplex modulator 15 and transmits the selected output. When an AM stereo modulation output is received, an AM stereo signal demodulator 22 demodulates the AM stereo modulation output, a matrix circuit 23 separates demodulated sum and difference signals into left/light audio signals, and the operation of an AM data multiplex signal demodulator 24 is stopped by a pilot signal. On the other hand, when a monaural modulation output is received, the AM stereo signal demodulator 22 demodulates the monaural modulation output, sends it to the matrix circuit 23, and activates the AM data multiplex signal demodulator 24 to transmit demodulated digital data.
