To provide a cutting method of a web continuously conveyed and a cutting device therefor.
The web 12 is conveyed from a film manufacturing line to a take-up device at a constant speed. A slit blade forms a web cutting line 60 on the web 12. A rotary cutter forms a cutting line 45 on the web 12. The cutting line 60 by the slit blade is formed within the distance W1 from the terminal of the cutting line 45b in this conveying direction. These cutting lines 45, 60 can cut out a selvage part from the web 12. The slit blade and the rotary cutter are freely movable in the width direction of the web 12 by a shift part. The web of desired width can be cut out by this shift part. Forming method of these cutting lines 45, 60 does not require to slide the blade in the width direction of the web. Therefore, the web can be cut out without decreasing the convey speed of the web.
