Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web cutting method and a web cutting device which can suppress fracture of a web and is suitable for a web automatic winding machine.SOLUTION: A web cutting method includes the steps of: carrying a web while applying a tension; and cutting the web to be carried into an upstream web and a downstream web while moving a cutting point by means of cutting means in a web width direction. In the step of cutting the web, an upstream part of the web and a downstream part of the web with respect to the cutting point are held in the thickness direction of the web, the cutting point and two holding points of the upstream part and the downstream part are located on the same surface and it is regulated that the cut upstream web or/and the downstream web are moved to the vertical direction for the web on the rear side in a movement direction on the web of the cutting point.
