Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate handling of a device and increase reliability in operations by a method wherein a monitor device for monitoring a web tensile stress is made a pressure detector.
CONSTITUTION: In a web processor comprising a monitor device for monitoring a web tensile stress and transmitting signals when the tensile stress is decreased, in particular, a web supply printing machine web damage detector 5, it contains a pressure sensor 9 for detecting a pressure in a clearance 8 formed by a web 1 and a fixing cover 7 through which the web passes at the time of normal operations, and generates signals when a pressure drop occurs in the clearance.
