To provide a weighing apparatus which can measure the weight of various kinds of objects to be weighed over a wide range, without making the apparatus large.
The weighing apparatus 51 comprises a large weighing dish 53 and a small weighing dish 55. A circular opening 54 is formed at nearly the central part of the large weighing dish 53. The small weighing dish 55 is provided liftably in the opening 54. The small weighing dish 55 is configured, such that its stop position, that is, the height can be adjusted according to the weight of the object to be weighed. When the small weighing dish 55 is positioned higher than the large weighing dish 53, the object to be weighed is placed only on the small weighing dish 55 and is weighed by a second weighing sensor 59. When the small weighing dish 55 is positioned lower than the large weighing dish 53, the object to be weighed is placed only on the large weighing 53 and weighing is conducted by a first weighing sensor 56.
