Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a weight measuring method for molten non-ferrous metal, which can perform a reproducible measurement within the allowance of the errors in the absolute values of 1-1.2% for adjusting alloy, by utilizing the oil pressure without the effect of heat, and detecting and operating the working pressure and the tilting angle of a hydraulic cylinder for tilting a furnace body.

CONSTITUTION: In the weight measuring method for molten non-ferrous metal of a tilting type melting hold furnace, wherein a furnace body 1 is tilted with a cylinder 2 provided at the lower part of the furnace body 1 and molten metal is taken out, the relationship between each tilting angle and the oil pressure of the cylinder under the vacant state wherein the molten metal is not inputted at the initial period is measured beforehand, and a load applied on the cylinder 2 is computed. The load is inputted into an operation controller 7. Under the state, wherein the molten metal is inputted, the numerical values of the measured working pressure value of the cylinder 2 at each tilting angle and the measured tilting angle obtained by the similar way at the vacant time are inputted into the operation controller 7. The working pressure and the tilting angle of the cylinder 2 are detected with a pressure transmitter 6 and a tilting angle transmitter 9 and operated with the operation controller 7.
