To provide a flowing water detector with a shut-off means for water supplied to secondary piping equipped on a wet sprinkler system, which has an inexpensive simple structure, requires no space for placing the shut-off means in water piping, can be easily replaced with a flowing water detector in an existing sprinkler system, and can monitor abnormality of a shut-off means to stop water flowing to a secondary side.
The shut-off means of this flowing water detector comprises a piston 19 equipped on a locus or on the extension of the locus of opening/closing motion of a valve body 15 of the flowing water detector 3, a cylinder 17 in which the piston 19 can slide in the inside and which has a small hole to be communicated with the outside on a wall face, and a pressurizing means for applying pressure to the inside of the cylinder 17. Water supply to the secondary side piping is shut off by guiding pressurized fluid into the cylinder 17 to act the piston 19 on a valve body 15 to seat the valve body 15 on the valve seat. The detector is structured so that whether water supply to the secondary side is restarted or not can be detected when the shut-off of water supply to the secondary side is released.
