Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recovery in such a manner that impurities by an amount equal to or above the prescribed one are not included in hematite produced in the case zinc residue treatment in wet type zinc refining is performed by a hematite process and further to effectively separate and recover valuable metals such as gold, silver, copper and lead as well as iron.
SOLUTION: In a first neutralizing stage, mainly, gypsum is removed, thereafter, before a second neutralizing stage, a first arsenic removing stage is provided, and arsenic is removed, so that impurities by an amount equal to or above the prescribed one are not included in solid matter recovered in an iron removing stage and esentially consisting of iron oxide.
