To provide a wheel state quantity measuring device adapted to obtain wheel state quantity irrespective of rotating state changes of a wheel, and also determine whether or not the obtained wheel state quantity is suitable.
An arithmetic unit 21 transmits a synchronizing signal to a measuring unit 22 through a vehicle body side transmitter/receiver 24 at certain time intervals. The measuring unit 22 measures a measurement item related to the vehicle state quantity by receiving the synchronizing signal transmitted through a wheel side transmitter/receiver 27. The measuring unit 22 then transmits a measurement signal, in which ID data indicating that the measurement was made in response to the received synchronizing signal, channel data and identification data are appended to measurement data measured this way, to the arithmetic unit 21 through the transmitter/receiver 27. Consequently, the arithmetic unit 21 obtains the measurement signal through the transmitter/receiver 24, and determines the operating state of the wheel 12 based on a wheel state quantity arithmetically operated from the measurement data contained in the obtained signal.
