To provide a wholly aromatic polyamide yarn which is high in a modulus of elongation, is good in loosening and dispersibility in cement and in physical bonding to the cement, can produce cement molded articles hardly cracked, and is used for reinforcing the cement.

The wholly aromatic polyamide yarn used for reinforcing the cement and having a single fiber fineness of 50 to 200 dtex and a modulus of elongation of 300 cN/dtex, obtained using a polymer dope extrusion spinneret which have an extrusion opening circumference of 3 to 50 mm and in which the extrusion opening circumference of the polymer dope extrusion spinneret is 10 times the circumference of the obtained fiber, when the wholly aromatic polyamide is spun in a semi-dry and semi-wet state.
