A wide angle lens is constituted of a first lens group having negative refractive power as a whole and a second lens group having positive refractive power as a whole, in this order from an enlargement side. The first lens group is constituted by arranging five lenses including a lens having a convex meniscus shape and negative refractive power (hereinafter, negative lens), a lens having positive refractive power (hereinafter, positive lens), a negative lens, a negative lens, and a positive lens in this order from the enlargement side. The second lens group is constituted by arranging six lenses including a positive lens, a negative lens, a junction system of a positive lens and a negative lens, a positive lens, and a positive lens in this order from the enlargement side.
