To take out the max. effect of uniforming deformation by arranging a pair of vibrating means opposing to the compressive direction, driving the vibrating means respectively at an approximately opposite phase and imparting forced vibration for repeating increase and decrease of rolling load to a material.
By respectively driving the vibrating means 2, 2' at an opposite phase, the forced vibration for repeating the increase and decrease of compressive load to the material is imparted. Consequently, the displacement in the middle part of the material is canceled and becomes zero. Furthermore, when vibrating frequency is taken as the primary resonance frequency in the compressive direction of the material, the strain in the middle part of the material is maximized. Consequently, plastic deformation reaches the middle part of the material and the deformation is uniformed as compared to at the time of static compression shown by a fine line. Furthermore, when the width dimension of the material is expressed by L, Young's modulus by E and the density by ρ, it is desirable to change vibrating frequency (f) at this time to (f)=(√(E/ρ))/2L'.
